Any update on this? Looks like a large number of upvotes - and has been requested since 2019 😭😭😭😭 Please.

i printed out sheets for girls to track milage and drive time but they like it better when zenmaid logs all there time so it would be nice for two different clock ins as i like to view the clean time and with tracking travel time in app is just not as accurate. i try to make everything as simple and easy for the girls as i wont them concentrating on cleaning. and when they ask for something i do my best to figure it out as they never call out now if only the new people we have tried would do better lol

Going to merge this suggestion with the mileage request we already have but on the note of "cleaners should be able to write down" - you can already do that. That's what the notes and custom fields are for. If that's all you're looking for it's already possible. When we build this we'll calculate the mileage for you :-)

We would love this feature as we are currently have to do it manually and HMRC requires records that are already within Zen

As inflation effects all of us, it's important we take advantage of tax breaks like reimbursing miles as part of pay... owner and employees are then not taxed on this income that is truly an expense for cleaners. Manually tracking this would be (and for those that are doing it) is a HUGE time suck! Please helps us get technology making a difference to the bottom line for both the business and the employee!

Since the application is tracking the cleaning technicians via GPS, it would be great if when the schedule is put in place, Zenmaid would calculate the mileage and drive time between each customer, by cleaner/team. Maybe even include that we can select a "Base station" for a starting an ending point. It generates a "route sheet" but that is just a list of addresses with the client information, which is provided to them via the dashboard for their daily work load. A map with a legitimate route, showing how they will travel, how long it takes from house to house, would help immensely for tracking. Also, if Zenmaid could map the jobs to most efficient route for time/mileage, that would be a perk too. This would allow for a more simply way of tracking and computing mileage expenses to the teams. Thank you

We just switched to ZenMaid and this is the only major feature missing. We reimburse our team for miles driven between jobs, and are trying to figure out a workaround until (hopefully) this feature gets added. Ideally the mapping feature would calculate this based on the optimal route between jobs for each team, then get added to the payroll report. If you just use a GPS tracker on the app it introduces more room for error Amar Ghose

if nothign more then just a toggle button to (auto add milage between cleans.) something that already integrates with google and just tells me the owner what the milage and travel time is between cleans so i don't have to GPS every clean to track travel time between and make sure my cleaners aren't milking the clock.

Petty cash expenses / Gas / Mileage / Tolls (and/or Sunpass in Florida) / Tracking (Using the GPS feature on app) mapped out

Would be perfect to add this feature in the payroll costs. Maybe to filter by day/week/employees. Calculating how many miles they drive. Perfect for who pay additional per miles like me😊

What about also tracking use of tollways?

would love to have way to track miles or drive time and also to see on a map the route they took so we can see if they stopped somewhere like a mcdonalds to get coffee or food first so we are not paying for the mileage outside of the route to a clients home

I must have misunderstood—I thought ZenMaid tracked mileage. I was majorly bummed to find out that isn’t an option. This is a necessity for me. Is there a way to add this function? Thanks!!!!

Yes, mileage should be tracked.

Yes! Similar to Amanda who already commented, we can't do all our payroll with ZenMaid because it lacks features to pay mileage, bonuses, commissions, more than one hourly rate, or track time offsite (not in a job - we pay our staff for this too, just at a lower rate). Right now all ZenMaid can do for us in terms of timekeeping is let me know whether the day went according to plan, and help me calculate what I owe my team for onsite pay (but none of the other ways we pay them). We'll end up paying extra for TSheets also if these features aren't added, which increases our monthly expenditures and reduces the perceived value we get from ZenMaid.

Yes please!! We are actually considering a different software for this exact reason we need to be able to track mileage!

YES! We pay our students for mileage. The only reason why we are not using Zenmaid for the students to clock in and out is because we use "Timesheets" because it lets the students clock in and out of driving and add their mileage. We also use Timsheets to add bonuses and Tips to calculate payroll easier (the reports are awesome!) We also have different pay rates for different things.
