Sometimes employees forget, and sometimes they can't log in for some reason and can do it later. Other times they are not within cell phone range. Sometimes we have to make the entries for them via computer. Unfortunately, there IS an opportunity for some employees to "fudge" on the times, which can cost the owner $ in the long run. But Julie P was addressing the fact that they can change the times AFTER they had already signed in/out.
Definitely should be something that a manager can turn on/off.
I disagree. I have employees who forget to clock in and if they cannot edit it leads to me having to do it for them.
That shouldn't be allowed - it's important for most businesses that employees not be able to edit their clock in and out times....I don't like that you can't turn this feature off....
I say allow them to change it to fix issues but keep the old revisions and have it pop right up top when you run payroll.
