Traditional Estimate & Invoice Workflow
One feature that would make ZenMaid significantly more competitive with other CRMs is the ability to create estimates, invoices, and recurring or one-time services without having to start from the calendar.
Many businesses first sell the job and schedule it later. A more traditional workflow would allow users to:
• Create an estimate or invoice directly from the client profile (or from a dedicated Estimates/Invoices section) without first creating a calendar appointment.
• Build a library of custom services, each with:
- Service name
- Description
- Default price (optional)
•When creating an estimate or invoice, select one or more services from the library and:
- Keep the default price, or
- Easily override the price for that specific estimate or invoice.
• Convert an approved estimate into a scheduled job only after the client accepts it.
This is a standard workflow found in many CRMs and field service management platforms. Requiring users to create a calendar event before they can prepare an estimate or invoice adds unnecessary steps and doesn't reflect how many service businesses actually operate.
Adding this functionality would make ZenMaid much more flexible for companies that provide customized services, project-based work, post-construction cleaning, move-out cleanings, commercial work, and any jobs where scheduling happens after the proposal is approved.
